Raphaëlle Chéré, landscaper
Appointed as the manager of SATIVA Paysage in 2010, Raphaëlle Chéré is a qualified landscape architect, with a degree from the École Nationale Supérieure de la Nature et du Paysage in Blois.
She has a unique approach to outdoor spaces, endeavouring to create sustainable links within the urban environment.
Specialising in alternative rainwater management and environmentally friendly construction and engineering techniques, she prioritises sustainability.
SATIVA Paysage has been responsible for the development of Fleur de Loire’s gardens, following on from Nicolas Orgelet, the project’s original landscape architect, and is working towards their successful completion.
The first challenge was to characterise the eternal Loire landscape within the building’s various spaces and to incorporate the river and the natural world into the property.
Limestone and other sustainable materials from the region are used, creating a sense of continuity with the city’s public spaces.
The pursuit of permeability and the restoration of environments are key priorities for the chef Christophe Hay and Raphaëlle Chéré, who are both committed to a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.
Mirroring the changing landscapes of the Loire, the garden is also varied and dynamic.
